Some more photos from my time at home two weeks ago. My dad built this Mustang. That’s his hobby — restoring hot rods. It’s a pretty cool hobby. He took me for a ride while I was there and we got almost home when the engine just suddenly shut off. We glided to a stop then decided to push the car into a driveway. I hung out while my dad made the walk home to get the truck and trailer, so I decided to take some photos while I was waiting.
Luckily, we got the car home and he figured out the problem (defective spark plugs) and he was able to take me on another ride before I left. Sometimes I kick myself that I didn’t spend more time with my dad growing up, learning all about engines and body work and the like. But other times I’m at peace with it, that we are two different people with two different paths.
